The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert for several districts of western Odisha, predicting heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious, especially in low-lying areas.
District administrations have been asked to keep emergency response teams on standby to avoid any untoward incidents.
